Posts have been a bit less frequent lately because I have been devoting some of the time I would otherwise use for blogging to writing a mini-book on cosmetic ingredients. I have finally finished sorting out all the typos and such like, and it is now on Amazon. At the moment I am just doing it as a Kindle book, but if it proves popular I hope to do a full cellulose and ink version at some point. I’ll see how it goes.
It is basically a compilation of my blog posts on ingredients, with a few extra bits and pieces on top. I have had to edit them quite a bit to work in a book format, which proved to be more complicated than I imagined. Writing for a blog and writing for a book are two rather different things.
It’s a book for everyday readers and I have done my best to avoid too much technical jargon – but I have put in all the references after thinking long and hard about it. Let me know if you’d be happier without them.
In fact any feedback is much appreciated. It’s a lonely business writing and it is hard to know whether you have got it just right from the point of view of the reader so please let me know what you like and what you don’t like. In particular, I am now looking around for the next title to start on so if there is something you think I should be covering I am all ears.
You can find it an Amazon in the UK here.
and in the US here
And in other countries you’ll find it quickly enough if you search for cosmetic ingredients perplexed.
Hey Colin, I’d love to check out your new book. Is it available in the US Amazon store? if not is there another way I can get a copy?
Hi Randy, yes it is in the US Amazon store as well. I have put a link in the post. Thanks for jogging me to do that.
Hi Colin
The UK link takes me to what looks like your affiliate page to log in…it’s asking me for affiliate details either way. I accessed (and bought!) it through this link: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Guide-Cosmetic-Ingredients-Perplexed-ebook/dp/B00UNS2QOC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1426562240&sr=8-1&keywords=cosmetic+ingredients+perplexed
Thanks for that Mysteries. I hope you enjoy the book.
