I believe I wrote the first safety assessment. I was working for a pharmaceutical company that had a couple of cosmetic products in its portfolio when the requirement came in. Pharma companies take regulations very seriously and tend to look ahead to the rules that are coming down the line. So I found myself needing to write some safety reports well before they were actually needed. I’ve been doing them ever since.
