If you have been following this blog for some time you may remember the days when it used to vanish towards the end of the month. I was only paying for a small amount of bandwidth and if I posted something popular it would all get used up.
I solved this by upgrading to what seemed like a huge amount of bandwidth, and took a few ads to cover the cost. Well history has repeated itself and my traffic has now grown to the point where pretty soon I am going to have to put my hand in my pocket again.
I am trying to fund this by putting more Google ads up about the place. I hope this doesn’t detract too much from the Colin’s Beauty Pages experience. Thanks for your patience.
I am very happy that Colins beauty pages have seemed to be a lot more active recently, so if that means some google ads, then pffft, so be it, Colins wisdom should not be cut back on! Keep up the good work Colin, all good interesting stuff.

Thanks for those kind words Maxine.
Why don’t you just migrate the blog to Google’s Blogger platform? It won’t cost you a penny then, no matter how busy it becomes! Migration tools exist too so you won’t have a huge amount of work doing it.
@Joshua That is a good idea, but I’d lose the URLs that have built up a reputation with Google.
Actually I think there is a way to just set your URL to redirect to a Google blog instead, or make it that the URL becomes the Google blog.
But as far as advertisements, I was taught with blogging, that if you’re going to monetize your might as well *really* monetize. The kind of people who complain about how it looks are the kind of people who will never click on ads anyway.
