Colin’s Beauty Pages Road Show at SCS Formulate

SCS Formulate

Autumn is here and SCS Formulate is back

SCS Formulate is now a fixture on the UK beauty industry calender, but there is one more reason to go this year.

As the New Yorker famously said, on the Internet nobody knows you are a dog.  I have been claiming to be a slightly overweight grumpy middle aged chemist for years now.  But how do you know that I am not actually a 20 year old lesbian?

Well the truth will be out next month.  I am going to be on stage at the SCS Formulate event at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.  It runs from the 13th to the 14th of November and my slot is at 10.15 on the Wednesday.  I am talking about social media and how they are used by the beauty industry.   I’m planning to record my last rehearsal for it and put it on Youtube, but I won’t do that until afterwards.

SCS Formulate Friendly Format

Given that I am on first the morning after the usually highly convivial (ie drunken) SCS Formulate dinner I don’t expect a big audience and  certainly not an attentive one. But if you are attending the show it would be great to see you there.  I am working up a muted hangover friendly powerpoint presentation and I’ll speak quietly to allow for any bad heads, so there really is nothing to be scared of.

If you really can’t make it I’ll be live tweeting during the talk with the hashtag #colinatSCS so make sure you aren’t too far from a smartphone or a laptop.

More details can be found on the event’s website.

  1. If I lived in the UK, you could count on me being there. :)
