Right from the get go at Colin’s Cosmetic Consultancy people asked us for training on various aspects of the cosmetic business.
Whilst we are regularly informing and guiding our clients by the very nature of helping them achieve their desired goals, we have never actually formalised training for those wanting to develop and launch their own cosmetic product. That is set to change. We will be holding a one day Beauty Launch Bootcamp event at Plus X Innovation Hub Brighton on Wednesday 27th April 2022.
We’ve had a lot of interest, but our enthusiasm carried us away and it doesn’t look like we’ll get enough people for the date we had in mind, but we’ll reschedule it for the early autumn. In the meantime, we’ve started a Beauty Launch Bootcamp community on Facebook.
This interactive event will talk through the whole process of launching a cosmetic product, from concept to launch. This is for people who are serious about creating and selling.
Areas covered will focus on:
- Identifying your product idea
- Examining successful case studies
- Identifying your unique selling proposition (USP)
- Intellectual property – how to create it, how to protect it
- How much funding you will need, and where you can get it
- Looking at a formulation – does it work? what does it cost? where can you get it made? what can you sell it for?
- Accreditations and standards. What they are, how they can help you, how to manage them.
- Regulations, the paperwork you need to legally sell your product . This includes safety assessments and portal registrations.
- The support your brand will need once out in the marketplace
The number of spaces will be limited to 12 to provide a more intimate and interactive experience. To ensure that all attendee concepts and business ideas do not heavily complete, we ask those interested to attend to provide an overview of their product idea by filling in the form below. For those concerned about sharing their idea, we are more than happy to put a non disclosure agreement (NDA) in place to confirm that Colin’s Cosmetic Consultancy will not share your idea. On the day of the event we will also ask attendees to sign an NDA so you can talk freely about your idea and receive personalised advice without fear that another attendee may discuss it after the event.
