Bisphenol A in Plastics Update
I just heard a report on the radio that the Bisphenol A (BPA) issue that I was talking about in September. You can find the full details on the BBC.
Basically the manufacturers are responding to public pressure in America, but over here where there has been less fuss they are carrying on as before.
As I said previously, I think that the risk this chemical poses is very small and it probably is harmless. But the harm it might do is very great. The road outside my house is very quiet, but the cars drive very fast. The risk of being hit if I don’t look before crossing is very low, but the harm if I do get hit is very great.
We can get by without Bisphenol A. Why take the risk?
