This website is mainly a labour of love, but the advertising helps defray expenses a bit. But I have been a bit unhappy with just how much of the screen was taken up with those little ads that Google puts up.

Up until now there wasn’t much I could do about it - but I have had a bit of a blitz on Wordpress techy stuff and I have managed to reduce them a bit.

I have also worked out how to put my own adverts on, which I much prefer because ideally I would only have adverts for products of which I approve. If you want to place an advert on the site please get in touch via colin@colinsbeautypages.co.uk. The rates are almost pathetically low so you have little to lose. Many thanks to the companies that have already expressed an interest.

I have also realised that I have put quite of lot of stuff on here now, and it is probably getting a bit hard to find some of the earlier stuff.  I plan to pull together the better articles into an e-book, so look out for that.

I also have plans for a bit of an overhaul on the forum which frankly has not really caught on in its current format.  Thanks to everyone who visits, and I hope to see you all again.
